A system for controlling precipitation and dissolution of a reaction-related substance, which is a substance related to a battery reaction of a secondary battery, includes a first electric storage device, a second electric storage device, and a controller. The first electric storage device is the secondary battery. The second electric storage device is different from the first electric storage device. The controller is configured to control an electrical power exchange between the first electrical storage device and the second electrical storage device. The controller is configured, when the reaction-related substance has precipitated on a negative electrode of the first electric storage device, to charge the second electric storage device with at least a part of electric power discharged from the first electric storage device. Thus, the controller increases a potential of the negative electrode to a potential higher than a potential of the reaction-related substance.
