The invention relates to a high-frequency oscillator (1) with an electrical oscillating circuit (2), a high-frequency welding system and a method for frequency control with a high-frequency oscillator, particularly in a high-frequency welding system. The electrical oscillating circuit (2) has at least one electronic component (3) with an inductance and at least one capacitor (4) with a capacitance. In order to enable fast and wear-free regulation of the frequency of the electrical oscillating circuit, the electronic component (3) is assigned at least one additional magnetic coil (6) with which the inductance of the electronic component (3) can be electronically influenced.
