Environment-aware enrollment procedures and event framework for environment requests / alerts supported by a cellular network using the session initiation protocol

This disclosure relates to providing Environment Services (ProSe) logon, Environment Request, Environment Alert, Environment Request Cancel, and Logoff Handling between a wireless device and a ProSe feature of a core cellular network using the Session Initiation Protocols. According to some embodiments, a wireless core device and a ProSe function of a core cellular network may exchange SIP signaling messages to register and deregister the wireless device for environment services supported by the cellular network. The wireless device and the ProSe function may further exchange (while the wireless device is registered) SIP signaling messages to request environment alerts, provide environmental alerts, and request abort of environmental alert requests.
