The present invention relates to a process for producing biomethane for supplying a natural gas network from n Ii biogas production plants, with i varying from 1 to n, in which each of the installations produces and stores biogas that is collected. at each facility via a mobile collection device, the collected biogas is purified so as to produce biomethane which is then injected into a natural gas network. The method according to the invention further provides for storing gas to ensure the continuity of the supply of biomethane to the network during the collection round.
