The general field of the invention is that of aeronautical visualization systems comprising means for measuring the attitude of the aircraft, graphic calculation means and a display device. The calculation means are arranged in such a way that the three roll, yaw and pitch information defining the attitude of the aircraft are represented on the display device by a central projection of a sphere (S) oriented on a plane virtual projection device located in the plane of the display device, the sphere being represented by a plurality of meridians (M) and parallels (P), the hidden parts of the sphere not being represented, the orientation of the sphere being that of the aircraft. The associated method for tracing said sphere comprises calculation steps making it possible to calculate only the parts actually displayed.
