The method involves determining a flight plan of an aircraft, which includes a set of successive waypoints. A main page includes a part with a set of indications that illustrates the flight plan that is presented on a viewing screen (6) of the aircraft. A set of indication unit is associated with the indications that are presented on the viewing screen. An identification zone is positioned on the viewing screen to form part of the flight phase designated by the identification zone so that the waypoint of the flight plan is associated to the corresponding flight phase. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for displaying a flight plan of an aircraft comprising flight plan determining unit (2) an aircraft comprising a display device.
