A fireproof reinforced door (10, fig 1) with front and rear skins 11, 12, a quadrilateral surrounding frame (13, 14 fig 1) & 15, 16 sealed to the edges of the front and rear door skin and a fireproof or fire retardant core 17 and reinforced structure 18 between the door skins/cavity. The reinforced structure may abut the front or rear door, or may be within or sandwiched into the fireproof material. The reinforced structure material may be Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) sheet, Bulk Moulding Compound (BMC) sheet, an Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) panel, fibreglass cloth, fibreglass mesh, a carbon fibre cloth, a roving layer, an epoxy resin layer, an aluminium plate, an iron mesh, an ABS plastic plate, PP plastic plate, a PVC plastic plate, a calcium silicate plate or a cement plate.
