A digital cymbal displacement control device for an electronic hi-hat is provided. A digital cymbal displacement detection unit is configured to be directly mounted on the tube above the stand of an electronic hi-hat. The digital cymbal displacement control device 300 includes at least one displacement detection unit 360a, 360b, 360c and a plurality of sliding elastic elements 390a, 390b, 390c that slide along a contact surface of the at least one displacement detection unit. Variation in an electrical parameter of each of the at least one displacement detection unit is utilized to determine the displacement of an electronic cymbal set of the electronic hi-hat. The device also comprises a base unit 310 having a base, sliding neck and plurality of sliding guide posts. Each guide post can engage with a corresponding sliding elastic element to prevent them from spinning axially around the shaft of a cymbal stand. An elastic element 330 such as a spring and a sliding seat 320 each encircles the sliding neck. The displacement control device may also comprise a rubber anti-vibration element 350 disposed at an end of the device opposite the base unit.
