The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diabetic complications, mainly referring to diabetic nephropathy, and the pharmaceutical composition comprises one or both of calycosin and calycosin-7-O-²-D-glucoside as 0.1ˆ¼99.5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition, and the conventional drug carrier. The pharmaceutical composition could significantly prevent and treat diabetic nephropathy, with the convenience of quality control and administration, which provides a new drug candidate for patients with diabetic nephropathy.
