Wireless network, in particular for automation, real time and/or industrial applications

The network (100) has a radio station i.e. wireless local area network (WLAN)-client (150), for wireless-communication with one of two access-network nodes i.e. WLAN access-points (110, 120). One of the two nodes uses a data channel that is selected from a batch of available and selectable data channels for wireless-communication with the radio station. A monitoring-communication channel differs from the selected data channel. Two access-network nodes are designed for wireless-transmission of information message via the communication channel, and the station receives the communication channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for assigning the radio station.
