The object of the present invention is to provide an inhibitory agent for body cavity fluid accumulation, which exerts a drug efficacy on body cavity fluid accumulation that is resistant to administration of diuretics, and is capable of exerting therapeutic effects even by systemic administration. The present invention provides an inhibitory agent for body cavity fluid accumulation comprising, as an active ingredient, a covalent conjugate of interferon with polyalkylene glycol.
