The method involves receiving and translating a reception of radiofrequency signal in baseband by quadrature mixtures i.e. elementary mixtures (421, 422) to provide in phase and quadrature signals with a signal of a local oscillator (420). The in-phase signal and quadrature signal are projected on a base to provide projection signals. A phase of radio frequency signal is estimated with the signal of the oscillator, and a phase of baseband signals is estimated with respect to periodic signal from the projection signals. Arrival time of pulse is obtained starting from estimated phases.
