The present invention concerns a device for treating solid composite material consisting, for example, of carbon fibres solidified with resin. The invention makes it possible, in particular, to separate the resin from the fibres in order to subsequently reuse them. The parts to be treated are placed in a basket that is placed in a reactor of the device. The reactor is then closed and a solvent is injected. Means for increasing the temperature and pressure in the reactor are applied in said enclosure in such a way as to cause a reaction of solvolysis or dissolution of the material for a predefined period. An oscillation means moves the reactor in order to move the solid composite material inside the reactor for the predefined period. In this way, the elements placed in the reactor are stirred in such a way as to have a homogeneous content throughout the treatment.
