System and method for aligning time-series data over a large range of time indices

A technology for verifying secure electronic devices are not vulnerable to side-channel attacks by performing such an attack by segmenting a plurality of time-indexed data series into neighborhood segments around points of interest, performing static alignment on the time-indexed data series in each neighborhood, splicing the aligned neighborhood segments, analyzing the aligned data in an attempt to discern secret information, and verifying whether the secure electronic device is vulnerable to the attack by determining whether the analysis results have revealed the secret information. Other systems and methods are disclosed.
