PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gloss determination device capable of easily and accurately determining a gloss state of an object.SOLUTION: A gloss determination device 100 includes: an image acquiring unit 330 for acquiring a parallelly polarized image obtained by photographing an object irradiated with polarized light through a polarizing filter which passes a polarized component polarized in the same direction as a polarization direction of the polarized light, and an orthogonally polarized image obtained by photographing the object irradiated with the polarized light through a polarizing filter which passes a polarized component polarized in a direction orthogonal to the polarization direction of the polarized light; a differential image generating unit 340 for generating a differential image indicating differences in brightness between the parallelly polarized image and the orthogonally polarized image; and a gloss determining unit 350 for determining a gloss state of the object on the basis of the differential image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
