PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halo phosphate phosphor capable of developing red luminescence by visible light excitation and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a halo phosphate phosphor having an apatite structure represented by the general formula (MEuAB)(PO)X, where α, β, and γ are 0α0.08, 0≤β0.06, 0γ0.08, M is one or more kinds of alkali earth metal selected from a group consisting of Sr, Ca, Mg, and Ba and containing at least Sr, A is one or more rear earth element selected from a group consisting of Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu, B is one or more kinds of alkali metal selected from a group consisting of Li and Na and containing at least Li, X is one or two kinds of halogen selected from a group consisting of F and Cl and containing at least F, and a part of X is loss or may be substituted by oxygen or sulfur.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
