PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord guide mechanism by which a cord or the like can be guided to a sewing position only by moving cloth so as not to be displaced from a needle location point, and which is easily attached and detached due to a simple mechanism; and to provide a sewing machine including the cord guide mechanism.SOLUTION: A cord guide mechanism includes: a disk-shaped cord guide G which is provided with a needle hole 6 for passing a sewing needle 2 therethrough at the center thereof and is provided with a guide hole 7 for passing a cord C or the like therethrough at an eccentric position with respect to the needle hole 6; a guide support disk 4 for supporting the cord guide G; a presser holder 3 for regulating the top face of the cord guide G; and rotation means for rotating the cord guide G in response to the movement of cloth N. By connecting the guide support disk 4 and the presser holder 3, the cord guide G is rotatably held with the needle hole 6 as a center. Either one or both of the guide support disk 4 and the presser holder 3 are positioned and fixed to a sewing machine body via a guide attachment rod 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
