PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom-pouring type ingot casting method capable of manufacturing a high-quality steel ingot while reducing a difference of molten metal surface height between casting molds.;SOLUTION: When, upon bottom-pouring casting on a bottom-pouring type ingot casting device 1 provided with right side casting molds 6a, 6b, 6c of which the number is three and left side casting molds 6d, 6e, 6f of which the number is three, on a runner 5 branched from a pouring pipe 4, flow rate of pouring molten metal which is poured into the pouring pipe 4 is 5 to 10 t/min and the runner 5 of the right side casting molds 6a, 6b, 6c and the left side casting molds 6d, 6e, 6f is set as a runner inner diameter D2 of a first runner attaining to a second casting mold from the pouring pipe 4 and a capillary part 9 inner diameter of a second runner attaining to a third casting mold from the second casting mold is set as a runner inner diameter D1, the following relations are satisfied: 55≤D1D22×(2.183×10-4 WR2-4.429×10-3 WR+3.167×10-2)(WR-0.0039D22+0.741D2-28.08),55≤D1D2(WR≤-0.0039D22+0.741D2-28.08),L11.25×D1×WR+2.8545×D1.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
