PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a metal power storage material for a secondary battery, which enables the suppression of the sintering of metal powder under a high-temperature condition, and which is easy to cause oxidation and reduction reactions of a metal inside metal powder; a metal air secondary battery including such a metal power storage material for a secondary battery, which is superior in endurance and which can be charged and discharged efficiently; and a method for manufacturing a metal power storage material for a secondary battery, which is suitable for manufacturing a metal power storage material for a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A metal power storage material for a secondary battery comprises: metal powder; and one or more kinds of oxide located on at least a part of the surface of the metal powder and having mixed conductivity of oxide ion conductivity and electron conductivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
