METHOD AND SYSTEM OF PREVENTING DEVICE FROM TURNING POWER ON AFTER UNRECOVERABLE FAILURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system of preventing a device from turning power on after an unrecoverable failure.SOLUTION: A system control device of a computing device is configured to receive a power-on signal and prevent the computing device from supplying power to components of the computing device. Upon receiving the power-on signal, the system control device can acquire failure data from a power supply unit. The failure data is analyzed and thereby a determination can be made whether an unrecoverable failure is present in the power supply unit. When the unrecoverable failure is detected, the system control device can prevent the power supply unit from supplying the power to other components of the computing device. When the failure data indicates that an excessive current, excessive voltage, or excessive temperature or failure occurs, the unrecoverable failure can be detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
