PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibodies specific to α2β1 integrin and uses thereof.SOLUTION: A humanized anti-α2 integrin antibody comprises a variant human IgG Fc region with amino acid substitutions S324N (serine at amino acid position 324 of the parent antibody is replaced with asparagine), E269D (glutamic acid at amino acid position 269 of the parent antibody is replaced with aspartic acid), and S298A (serine at amino acid position 298 of the parent antibody is replaced with alanine) where the amino acid position numbering is according to the EU index as in Kabat, whereas the antibody exhibits improved complement-dependent cellular toxicity (CDC) and improved antibody-dependent cell-mediated cell toxicity (ADCC) in comparison with the parent antibody.SELECTED DRAWING: None
