PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brilliant substrate in which impregnation property of a melamine resin can be improved as well as brightness can be improved, a brilliant decorative paper, and a production method of a brilliant substrate.;SOLUTION: A brilliant substrate 10 is a substrate to be subjected to the formation of a melamine resin layer on top and back surfaces thereof, and includes a paper substrate 11 and an ink layer 12 formed from a brilliant ink comprising a brilliant pigment and a binder resin on one surface of the substrate 11. The ink layer 12 has a weight per unit area of 2 g/m2 or less after the brilliant ink is dried. The brilliant pigment has a particle diameter of 40 μm or more and 300 μm or less; and the brilliant ink has a viscosity of 10000 cP or more before dried.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
