PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleat filter capable of preventing the degradation or rupture by the use so that it can be used stably for a long time, its manufacturing method, and a ballast water processing apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: A pleat filter is formed by forming a filter base material having folds by repeating ridges and folds into a cylindrical shape having an axial direction in the ridge direction of said folds. The pleat filter has a reinforcement structure for reinforcing the folds, in either ridges bulging to the cylindrical outer side or troughs bulging to the cylindrical inner side.
