PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crude petroleum composition estimation method capable of estimating the composition of crude petroleum thereby to attain an accurate simulation result, and an absorption process simulation method.SOLUTION: In a crude oil composition estimation method for estimating the composition of crude petroleum to be used as the absorbed oil of a volatile organic compound, the inclusion concentrations of individual components contained in crude petroleum are estimated on the basis of a difference from the inclusion concentration in each component of a testing gas of the volatile organic compound and the inclusion concentration in each component of a process gas to be discharged after a portion of a sample gas was absorbed by the crude petroleum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
