METHOD FOR ANALYZING NATURAL STABLE CARBON ISOTOPE RATIO IN ACETONE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING LIPID METABOLISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively analyzing a natural stable carbon isotope ratio (¹³C/¹²C) in acetone included in a sample on the basis of stable isotope information without using a labeled substrate.;SOLUTION: The method for analyzing a natural stable carbon isotope ratio (¹³C/¹²C) in acetone included in a sample comprises the step of measuring the natural stable carbon isotope ratio in the acetone included in the sample. The method can comprise the steps of: (a) concentrating and extracting the acetone included in the sample from the sample; and (b) measuring the natural stable carbon isotope ratio (¹³C/¹²C) in the acetone concentrated and extracted.
