PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault localization device with which it is possible to obtain a range of errors (localization errors) between an accident point found by an electrical grid monitoring system and an actual accident point.SOLUTION: A fault localization device 1 comprises: impedance range calculation means 7 for finding the variation ranges of sensor values 2 and impedance 4 on the basis of a sensor value 2 measured by a sensor installed in an electrical grid and including measured voltage and current values before and after an accident, a sensor error 3 representing the error range of the sensor in measurement of the sensor value 2, the impedance 4 of the electrical grid, and an impedance variation parameter 5 for determining the variation range of the impedance 4; combination generation means 8 for creating a combination of values that the sensor value 2 and the impedance 4 can assume on the basis of the variation ranges found by the range calculation means; and fault localization means 9 for calculating an accident point range indicating the distance from the sensor to the accident point on the basis of the combination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
