PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile woven fabric which is excellent in light blocking effect and concealing effect, which has pile pieces in a stable rising state without directionality in the inclining directions thereof, and which is consequently suitable for a curtain fabric and a clothing fabric.;SOLUTION: A fast pile comprising a pair of front and back pile pieces is formed in such a way that: two pile yarns are arranged between adjacent ground warp yarns in an n/n warp rib weave structure; each pile yarn passes under a ground weft yarn over which a corresponding one of the ground warp yarns passes first and under a ground weft yarn over which the corresponding one of the ground warp yarns passes last among n ground weft yarns over which the corresponding one of the ground warp yarns consecutively passes; and each pile yarn passes over at least one intermediate ground weft yarn interwoven between the first and last ground weft yarns. An auxiliary warp yarn is arranged between the two pile yarns arranged between the adjacent ground warp yarns. The auxiliary warp yarn passes over the first ground weft yarn and the last ground weft yarn under which each pile yarn passes, and the auxiliary warp yarn passes under any intermediate ground weft yarn over which each pile yarn passes.
