PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably neutralize an alkali solution discharged through a treatment of radioactive liquid waste etc., within a range of pH 3-10, without injecting chemicals.;SOLUTION: Treatment-target water is sequentially passed through an alkali type titanic acid adsorbent column 1 and a hydrogen type titanic acid adsorbent column 2. When the water passes through the alkali type titanic acid adsorbent column 1, an alkaline component is eluted and the pH of the treatment water increases. However, by passing the obtained alkali solution through the hydrogen type titanic acid adsorbent column 2 in the subsequent stage, an ionic exchange occurs between an alkali metal ion and a hydrogen ion, and the alkali metal ion is absorbed and the hydrogen ion is discharged, so that the pH can be lowered.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
