PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous carbon nanostructure by which satisfactory characteristics can be obtained and environmental load can be made smaller when the nanostructure is an electrode of an electric double layer capacitor, a manufacturing method of the porous carbon nanostructure, and an electric double layer capacitor using the porous carbon nanostructure.SOLUTION: A porous carbon nanostructure is obtained by carbonizing a structure raw material including at least one kind of silk, leaves, cob, stem and roots of corn, in which a specific surface area is 1400 m/g or more and a pore volume is 0.5 cm/g or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
