PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting target position interest level of a crowd, and a detection method of crowd density.SOLUTION: With the detection method of target position interest level of a crowd, a depth image including a crowd and a target position obtained by imaging is projected onto a height top view. The height top view is divided into a cell having a predetermined size. Crowd density in each cell is determined. Travel speed and travel direction of the crowd in each cell are determined. The direction of the crowd in each cell is determined. Interest level in the target position of the crowd in each cell is determined by the crowd density, travel speed and travel direction of the crowd, and direction of the crowd. The method allows target position interest level of the crowd to be relatively precisely detected even under a condition where the crowd is dense and detection and tracking of an individual person are difficult.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
