PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable video to be retrieved by designating the state of a subject and the way of movement of the subject.;SOLUTION: A video retrieval device comprises: a subject information storage unit 13 in which a frame number and positional information of the subject are stored for each frame of video; an instance operation unit 14 which, on the basis of operation for moving a retrieval card indicating the subject on video and the state thereof to a retrieval area provided on a display unit 3, generates operation information for showing how the retrieval card has moved; a retrieval program generation unit 15 which generates a retrieval program for retrieving, from the subject information storage unit 13, a frame number of a frame including the subject in the state of moving like the retrieval card on the basis of the operation information; and a retrieval unit 16 which retrieves a frame number that matches the retrieval program from the subject information storage unit 13.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
