PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer disposition battery jar for vent lead storage battery which guides and inserts an electrode plate group smoothly between a pair of spacers, in the application to the manufacturing process of a vent lead storage battery using a guide jig, and facilitates take-out of the guide jig after inserting the electrode plate group between a pair of spacers, while furthermore capable of preventing an active material at the lower end on both sides of the electrode plate group from missing.SOLUTION: A spacer disposition battery jar for vent lead storage battery includes a bottomed square cylinder battery jar having a rectangular opening, and a pair of spacers disposed oppositely each other while spaced apart by a desired distance in the battery jar, and having an opposite surface as a first surface, and a surface on the opposite side as a second surface, where each spacer has a recess formed in a region close to an end of the first surface from an end located on the rectangular opening side of the battery jar toward the bottom of the battery jar.
