PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a journal entry auxiliary device capable of achieving earlier day closing or month closing by preventing the entry of journal data not generated obviously during the journal entry without imposing any maintenance load on a user.SOLUTION: A journal entry auxiliary device has a subject master table 106a set to register subject types classified into groups according to the types of subjects, a division master table 106b set to register division types classified into groups according to the types of divisions, and a control master table 106e set to bind the subject types and the division types. When subject data is input to enter division data during journal entry, a journal management part 102a controls a display execution part 102b to sequentially refer to the subject master table 106a, the control master table 106e, and the division master table 106b to extract the division data bound to the input subject data, and display suitable division data on a screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
