WATER-BASED INK COMPOSITION FOR WRITING INSTRUMENT, INK CARTRIDGE INCLUDING THE SAME, AND DIRECT LIQUID TYPE WRITING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based ink composition excellent in ink discharge stability during writing and cartridge exchange ability, capable of stably maintaining ink supply to a pen point after exchanging a cartridge, for a long period, even when it is applied to a direct liquid type writing instrument of an ink cartridge type, and an ink cartridge including the composition, and a direct liquid type writing instrument, such as a ball point pen.;SOLUTION: Provided are a water-based ink composition for a direct liquid type writing instrument, comprising: water; a colorant; and polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene glycol and/or polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether, and an ink cartridge in which, the ink is incorporated in an ink storage part detachably attached to a writing instrument body. A direct liquid type writing instrument incorporating the ink is also provided.
