PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce calculation costs in a channel shape model generation device.SOLUTION: A model generation device according to the present invention acquires an optimum channel shape by simulating the flow of a fluid in a duct for which a calculation area has a confluence part, wherein a control unit includes [1] a channel shape creation unit, [2] a calculation lattice generation unit, [3] a boundary condition definition unit, [4] a model correction unit, [5] a solver execution unit, and [6] an evaluation index calculation unit. When the evaluation index calculation unit determines that the result of evaluation index calculation does not satisfy a target value, the channel shape creation unit, the calculation lattice generation unit, the boundary condition definition unit, the model correction unit, the solver execution unit, and the evaluation index calculation unit repeatedly execute the operation of each of[1] to [6], and when the evaluation index calculation unit determines that the result of evaluation index calculation satisfies the target value, an optimum channel shape model is acquired and the process is terminated.
