PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a metal composite particle carrying catalyst capable easily carrying a metal composite particle constituted by two or more kinds of metals.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a metal composite particle carrying catalyst including a mixing process for solid phase mixing a raw material containing a sublimable first metal complex containing a first metal, sublimable second metal complex containing a second metal different from the first metal and carrier with adding mechanical friction to obtain a mixture and a calcination process of calcinating the mixture. The first metal is Au or Pt and the second metal is Ag, Pt or Fe when the first metal is Au and the second metal Fe when the second metal is Pt.
