PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing metal compound particle group for use in the electrode of a power storage device having enhanced rate characteristics, and to provide a metal compound particle group and an electrode using the same.SOLUTION: A method of producing metal compound particle group for use in the electrode of a power storage device has a step for obtaining a first composite material by combining a precursor of metal compound particle and a carbon source, a step for producing metal compound particles by heat-treating the first composite material under a non-oxidative atmosphere, and obtaining a second composite material where the metal compound particles and carbon are combined, and a step for removing the carbon by heat treating the second composite material under an oxygen atmosphere, and obtaining a metal compound particle group where the metal compound particles are bonded in three-dimensional mesh structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
