PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an active filter while taking power supply impedance into consideration and thereby to obtain a suitable compensation current.;SOLUTION: A parallel type active filter 6 is connected to an AC power source 1 at an installation point P in parallel with a load 2 through a system interconnection reactor 4. The parallel type active filter 6 supplies a compensation current Ia to the installation point P. A controller 71 which controls the parallel type active filter 6 has a drive signal generation circuit 720 and subtractors 718, 719. The drive signal generation circuit 720 generates a signal (G) for driving control over the parallel type active filter 6 on the basis of voltage command values Vid, Viq as command values of the voltage Vr that the parallel type active filter 6 outputs.
