PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable maintenance replacement system and a cable maintenance replacement method capable of efficiently performing cable replacement work.SOLUTION: A maintenance terminal 300 stores tag identification information which is input by an operator for each cable and is allocated to a tag provided in each cable and each connection destination at both ends of each cable, associating the tag identification information with each connection destination. The operator displays the content stored in the maintenance terminal 300 and specifies a replacement object cable by referring to each connection destination of each cable. The maintenance terminal 300 transmits a light emission means lighting instruction radio signal including the tag identification information of the tag provided in the cable specified by the operator. The tag storing the tag identification information which matches the tag identification information included in the signal and is allocated to itself allows a small battery 202 provided in itself to start power supply to light emission means provided in the vicinities of at least both the ends of the cable in which the tag itself is provided and allows the light emission means to emit light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
