PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further highly accurately determine hybrid vehicles with optimum specifications capable of exerting substantial fuel consumption decreasing effects.SOLUTION: An optimum specifications determination support system for hybrid vehicles prestores, in a database (1), fundamental vehicle weight information and the like of hybrid vehicles (A-C) with different specifications respectively. When vehicle specifications information, travel profile information, and the like are input in an input section (3), an arithmetic section (2) calculates for each vehicle (A-C), a vehicle total weight and a load capacity according to the vehicle specifications information. A fuel consumption per load capacity for each vehicle is calculated on the basis of the calculated vehicle total weight and load capacity, and the travel profile information, and outputs the calculation results to an output section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
