PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for embedding a retractable tape spring for a deployable structure and the deployable structure for the tape spring.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for embedding a retractable tape spring for a deployable structure. The method for embedding the retractable tape spring for the deployable structure, comprising: an axis for deployment and rewinding, the axis substantially parallel to an unfolding axis X; a min tape spring 11 including two ends 81, 82; and a secondary tape spring 61 including two ends 71, 72 and a winding mandrel 13 supported by the axis X. The main tape spring 11 is wound around the mandrel 13, a first end 82 of the main tape spring 11 being fixed on the mandrel 13. The method comprises the following steps of: fixing a first end 71 of the secondary tape spring 61 at a predefined distance from a second end 81 of the main tape spring 11; and fixing a second end 72 of the secondary tape spring 61 on the mandrel 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
