PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method of a Japanese washcloth capable of printing both front and rear surfaces by using an ink jet printer, and a Japanese washcloth with excellent designability which is printed by the printing method.SOLUTION: A printing method of Japanese washcloth in which both front and rear surfaces are printed by an ink jet printer 2 includes: a pretreatment process of coating a pasty pretreatment agent on the entire surface of Japanese washcloth; a rear surface printing process of printing a pattern on a rear surface by lighter color than the front surface after the pretreatment process; and a front surface printing process of printing the front surface by darker color than the rear surface while partially leaving blank areas after the rear surface printing process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
