PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily associate a branch circuit with an electric apparatus.SOLUTION: A power management system 10 comprises: a power management device 100; and at least one electric apparatus 200. The electric apparatus 200 transmits a communication start request to the power management device 100, when detecting the apparatus having been connected to any of a plurality of branch circuits in a distribution panel. The power management device 100, when having received the communication start request, transmits an operation command for making the electric apparatus 200 of a transmission source of the communication start request be into a power ON state to the electric apparatus 200; acquires information on power consumption in the power ON state from the electric apparatus 200 to be a transmission target of the operation command; acquires power information on each of the plurality of branch circuits after the transmission of the operation command; and compares the power consumption information with the power information on each of the plurality of branch circuits to identify which branch circuit has been connected to the new electric apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
