PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform a process of selecting a category of a business form to be registered in a business form dictionary database for use in business form identification.;SOLUTION: The business form registration assist device is configured to: classify and integrate a category of a non-registered business form on the basis of a characteristic amount of a newly acquired business form and a by-category characteristic amount preliminarily classified and stored by the category of the business form; newly determine a by-category characteristic amount and a by-category representative image for each category of the classified/integrated business form; repeat a process of storing the number of the business forms in association with the newly determined by-category characteristic amount and by-category representative image for each category of the classified/integrated business form; and thereafter select, at predetermined timing, the category of the business form to be registered in the business form dictionary database for use by the business form identification from among categories of the stored business form.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
