An additive manufacturing apparatus including a movable platform is disclosed. The movable platform has a plurality of fasteners and a top surface and at least one index feature. The upper surface of the movable platform is connected to the index device, so that one of the movements corresponds to the other movement. The index device can receive a compatible index device from the manufacturing device.
