An abnormality detection system for a three-dimensional additive manufacturing apparatus that irradiates a beam onto a powder bed to perform an additive manufacturing, wherein an average height of the powder bed relative to a reference position is a first rule based on a measurement result of a surface shape of the powder bed. When at least one of the first condition deviating from the range and the second condition deviating in height of the powder bed deviating from the second specified range is satisfied, it is determined that a powder bed laying abnormality has occurred.
