The present application relates to a molding defect detection system of a three-dimensional additive manufacturing apparatus that irradiates a powder bed with laser light to perform additive manufacturing. The present system specifies a candidate position of a modeling defect based on a change amount of a local temperature measured at a portion of a powder bed irradiated with a laser beam. Then, the cooling rate at the candidate position is calculated based on the temperature distribution, and it is determined whether or not a modeling defect exists based on the cooling rate.
