PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the utility of a device while controlling the operation of the device by determining an abnormality of the device on the basis of its operation sound.;SOLUTION: In an image formation device 1, an abnormal sound operation control unit 40 prestores abnormal sounds which are generated when the image formation device 1 has an abnormality in a known abnormal sound data memory. In the abnormal sound operation control unit 40, when an operation sound acquisition unit 31 acquires an operation sound of the image formation device 1, an abnormal sound detection unit 33 compares an operation sound analyzed by an operation sound analysis unit 32 to the abnormal sound for each frequency of the operation sound and determines whether the operation sound is an abnormal sound, and further identifies an abnormal sound generating component which is generating the operation sound determined to be an abnormal sound.
