PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently degrading a biodegradable plastic mulch film, containing PBAT and installed in a farm field, using an enzyme derived from a microorganism.SOLUTION: A method for degrading a biodegradable plastic mulch film, installed in a farm field, using an ester hydrolase produced by a microorganism includes the steps of: spraying a calcium salt or a soil conditioner containing calcium having a predetermined biaxial average particle diameter onto the surface of the biodegradable plastic mulch film installed in the farm field; and applying a solution containing the ester hydrolase onto the surface of the biodegradable plastic mulch film. The biodegradable plastic mulch film contains poly(butylene adipate/terephthalate), and the ester hydrolase is produced by a predetermined microorganism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
