CONSTITUTION: A gesture management system (100) includes such as a plurality of distance image sensors 12 installed on a ceiling of a space and the distance image sensor 12 outputs a distance image. For example, when a human being H gestures by pointing a finger, body characteristic points such as a head top part (HT) or two shoulder positions (Sn) are detected from each of the distance images outputted by the distance image sensors 12. Then by using such as the body characteristic points, finger pointing direction (Px) of the finger pointing gesture is detected. Among the distance image sensors 12, the distance image sensor 12 detecting the finger pointing direction as well as with the greatest plotted range indicating the human being H is specified.
